Letter of certification

What is a letter of certification?

A letter of certification is an official document generated by our office confirming the status and history of an insurance license. The Washington OIC can only generate letters of certification for our resident licensees.

How do I request a letter of certification?
    • Please submit a written request that includes the licensee name, WAOIC number, valid mailing address, dated signature, and a $5 fee per letter.
    • The request may be faxed or emailed to us if a credit-card-authorization form is included to cover the fee.
    • Requests for letters of certification are generally processed within three days of receipt.
