A fingerprint card is required when applying for any resident license in Washington state. Non-resident applicants do not need to submit a fingerprint card except when applying for an adjuster license.
Remember: Applicants for an Adjuster license, whether a resident or non-resident, must submit a fingerprint card.

Generally, your local law enforcement agency or city/county jail provides fingerprinting services.
For residents, most PearsonVue exam sites offer fingerprinting services through their third party vendor, L1 Identity Solutions.

Our online system will include a $42.50 fingerprint processing fee when you apply however, this is the fee charged to run a background check on your prints. Depending on where you have your fingerprints done, you may be charged for that service.
