What to consider when comparing Part D plans

 

Cost

• Find out how much you'll have to pay in:
  • Premiums
  • Deductibles
  • Copays and coinsurance

Coverage

• Get a list of the drugs covered by the plan.
• Find out if you need prior authorization for some medications.

Convenience

• Find out if Medicare contracts with your pharmacy or if you can get your drugs through mail order.
• Each plan covers different prescription drugs. Review each one carefully to find the plan that best meets your needs.
