Plan management for individual, small and large-group health coverage markets (R 2013-27)

Rule 2013-27 allows the Insurance Commissioner to set filing deadlines for all individual health plans, small group health plans, and stand-alone dental plans that provide pediatric dental benefits as one of the 10 essential health benefits required by the Affordable Care Act. This will ensure that insurers file plans by a set date each year, to allow the Insurance Commissioner adequate time to review and approve health insurance plans and forward them to the Washington Health Benefit Exchange. Plans that are not submitted by the deadline will be rejected without review.
