Washington Healthplanfinder

This is our state’s health insurance exchange. If you buy a health plan through Washington Healthplanfinder, you can get help paying for insurance premiums.

To start coverage on Jan. 1, you must buy a plan during the annual open enrollment period, Nov. 1 through Dec. 15. If you miss the annual open enrollment period, you can still enroll if you qualify for Apple Health or a special enrollment period.

Apple Health

This Washington state program provides medical, dental, vision and mental health coverage if you qualify. Apply any time throughout the year through the Washington Healthplanfinder.

Apple Health for Kids and Medicaid are now part of "Apple Health," which serves all ages.

Aged, Blind or Disabled Cash Assistance Program

Provides cash each month if you are 65 or older, blind or have a long-term medical condition.

Apple Health for Workers with Disabilities Program

Provides health coverage if you have a disability, are 16 though 64, meet federal disability requirements and have a job.

Assistance Fund

May help you pay insurance copays and deductibles.

Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program

Provides free screenings for breast, cervical and colon cancer if you are low income.

Direct health care practices

Practices that provide primary care for a set monthly fee. This is not insurance.

HIV Care - Client Services

Provides programs to help you get medical care and support if you have HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus).

Evergreen Health Insurance Program

May help pay insurance premiums if you have AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome).

HelpHopeLive (formerly NTAF)

Helps pay medical costs for transplants or major injuries if you don’t have insurance.

Housing and Essential Needs

May help pay for rent and utilities, health and hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and transportation.

Medicaid

Provides health care and prescription coverage if you qualify based on your income, assets, health, disability, and family size.

Pregnant Women Assistance Program

Provides cash each month if you are pregnant and meet income, resource and citizenship requirements. This program is part of Apple Health.

Washington Connection

Helps pay Medicare costs if you if you qualify for classic Medicaid and/or a Medicare Savings Program.
