*Bronze plans have the minimum coverage you need to meet the requirement to have health insurance.
What to know before you buy
You must pay any medical costs your health plan doesn't cover. Before making an appointment or receiving services:
- Ask about your premium and out-of-pocket costs, such as copayments, deductibles, and coinsurance.
- Understand how your plan handles claims, how your providers get paid, and what you must pay.
- Ask if your providers are in your plan's network.
- Ask if your plan covers your medications and what they cost.
If you can't afford health coverage, you may qualify for help.
Limits on out-of-pocket costs
The most you'll pay for out-of-pocket costs (deductible, copayments, and coinsurance):
For the 2025 plan year
- $9,200 for individual coverage
- $18,400 for family coverage
For the 2026 plan year
- $10,600 for individual coverage
- $21,200 for family coverage
Once you reach the limit, your health plan pays the entire allowed amount for covered benefits.
