We can't issue you your license until we receive the results of your background check.

Steps to get your fingerprints taken

  1. Complete any required exams for your license type.
  2. Submit your application before scheduling a fingerprint appointment, per FBI requirements. Adjusters, please apply online here
  3. Schedule an appointment with Idemia (IdentoGO) to have your fingerprints taken. Please note that you won't be able to schedule your appointment until we've received your license application. You will need either your OIC or NIPR transaction number to schedule your appointment. Your transaction number can be found in the license application confirmation email we sent you or in the order history of your NIPR Licensing Center account. 

You don't have to send us anything. IdentoGO will transmit your fingerprints electronically.

Getting your fingerprints taken costs $49.00. This fee reflects the combined cost of the background check fee and IDEMIA IdentoGO's additional service charge, also known as a rolling fee.

Where to get your fingerprints taken

Once you've submitted your insurance application, you can visit an IdentoGO center at your convenience. There are more than 30 locations in Washington state, so there's probably a location near you.
