We will send you an email reminder 90, 60, and 30 days before your license expires and a notice once the license is past the late renewal period.
Renewal and reinstatement requirements
Individual and business-entity licenses each have unique requirements for renewal or reinstatement.
Individual license CE requirements
Washington requires 24 credit hours of CE (3 of which are ethics credits) for these licenses:
- Individual resident, full-lines producers
- Individual resident adjusters
- Individual non-resident adjusters who are claiming Washington as their designated home state
Washington residents can find their education history using the tool in the online services section. Once you log in you can view your reported courses by logging into your account and selecting "Individual Education History." This will provide you with a PDF document with your CE history.
Business-entity license affiliation requirements
Affiliations are part of a business-entity license renewal or reinstatement and you will need at least one active affiliation to continue. Your designated responsible licensed person also needs an active license.
If you're reinstating your license, complete a reinstatement application and pay the reinstatement fees online. Once the license is active again, you'll need to add new affiliations and appointments.
Renew your license
All producer and adjuster licenses can be renewed online. You can renew your license up to 90 days before your license expires, and up to 60 days after your license expires with an additional late fee.

Reinstate your license
A license may be reinstated within 12 months of the date the license was canceled or expired.
To reinstate your license, you need to complete a reinstatement application and pay reinstatement fees online.
